Organisational Changes at VCS SpaceCom
With the beginning of 2009 major changes have taken place in the VCS board of directors and also within the SpaceCom Division management.
Effectively from 1st of January 2009 Dr. Horst Wulf joins the VCS Aktiengesellschaft management board. Beside Dr. Wulf, Dr. Karl-W. Pieper and Klaus M. Heidrich, directors of the Media Broadcasting Solutions division, have also been appointed to the VCS management board. From now on all members of the VCS management board belong to the company VCS. The new board members continue managing the operational business units. “Thus it is possible to create more efficient and cost-effective structures and to put the operative business in the focus of the managerial functions” says Prof. Dr. Klaus-G. Meng, chairman of the management board.
With immedeate effect the VCS SpaceCom division will be administrated by dual leadership. In his new position as Director Business Development, Ulli Leibnitz has the overall responsibility for all sales activities within the SpaceCom division. Dr. Wulf remains in charge for the operational business as Director Operations. “The SpaceCom division continued a positive development during the past years. This is shown in the successful participation in forward-looking projects and programmes as well as the expansion of our on-site presence to Darmstadt and Oberpfaffenhofen. With the re-organisation of the division management, we created the basis for a sustainable continuation of this positive trend”, Ulli Leibnitz commented.
In his new position as Operations Manager Michael Henke will support the new division management. He is responsible for the coordination of all activities in the fields of software development and project management as well as the management of processes and workflows between all three sites of the SpaceCom division. Dr. Christian Stöcker will take over his former position as Head of the Department software engineering.
